About Me
Hello! My name is Katlyn Miller, and I am excited to serve as the school counselor here. I earned my master’s degree in PK–12 School Counseling from Wayne State College. I grew up in Lincoln, NE, and now live in Bartlett, where I enjoy the slower pace of life.
Outside of school, I spend most of my time with my fiancé and our dog, Bo. I love reading, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. I am passionate about helping students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Services Offered
Small Groups:

For 8 weeks, a small group of students will meet to discuss different Social-Emotional skills they may need some extra help on. During this time we will do different activities and discussions that bring these skills to life.

Individual Meetings:
​
If your student needs help K-12 on any situation, I will meet with them for short periods of time to discuss what they need to be successful. Whether this is a more personalized experience or something they need for a short period of time, I am able to offer what they need!

Teaching SEL Curriculum:
​
I have the privilege of working with students and teaching them in the class setting using Sanford Harmony. I meet with students weekly in the Elementary using this curriculum. In the Junior High and High School, I use Xello which helps our students with college and career readiness.
FAQs
Can you counsel my student?
Unfortunately, I am not a certified clinical mental health counselor. I can meet with your student for 8 weeks at a time, but I usually refer students on.
Where can I send my kid for counseling?
Great question! I have a referral list of great counselors in our area! If you would like them, email me and I can get that to you!
How can I access your curriculum?
On the curriculum tab of the website, there is a link for both curriculums I use. Feel free to explore and ask any questions you might have.
My student is graduating. What do I need to do?
Do not worry! I will help with everything your student needs to move on after high school. Stay tuned for lots of updates and rest assured your student is getting all the help they need!
